How to Use: Add Extralube ZX1 directly into the engine oil filler. No need to change oil beforehand. The treatment bonds thermally during normal operation. Also suitable for use in the fuel tank (10ml per 10L fuel) to clean and protect valve seats and injectors.

Best for standard cars up to 3.5L engine size. Treats one engine completely. Our most popular size for everyday use. After changing, No need to change your oil, pour in the recommended amount through the oil filler cap. Drive normally for at least 20 minutes to activate the metal bonding process. For maximum results, use ZX1 every 25,000 miles or every second major service.

How to Use: Add directly into the engine oil reservoir at the recommended dosage. A normal drive for 15–20 minutes will allow the treatment to bond. Suitable for use in both petrol and diesel cars. Can also be added without an oil change to remove sludge and prepare surfaces for fresh oil.

Suited for workshops, fleets, or large engines. Enough for 2–4 vehicles depending on size. Pour recommended dose into the engine, no need to wait for an oil change. This size is ideal for light commercial vehicles, high-mileage drivers, or anyone maintaining multiple engines. How to Use: For dosage quantity refer to the engine size chart and add ZX1 through the oil filler cap. Suitable for trucks, large SUVs, marine or agricultural engines. Use with synthetic, mineral, or semi-synthetic oils. Heat from the engine activates ZX1 bonding. Protection lasts up to 25,000 miles per treatment.

Can I use Extralube ZX1 Micro Oil Metal Treatment in Hydraulic systems?

“EXTRALUBE ZX1 does not contain any solids it is ideal for using in hydraulic systems to reduce running temperature and improve efficiency by reducing internal friction thereby improving component life.

To use EXTRALUBE ZX1 in hydraulics we advise a 1% ratio of ZX1 to Hydraulic oil, if possible, bypass the hydraulic oil tank and introduce the ZX1 directly into the working part of the system which will ensure that the ZX1 gets to the working parts quicker.
In the past we have witnessed the following, a JCB with a concrete breaker attached was running at 7/8ths throttle to acquire the ideal breaking action, 1% of EXTRALUBE ZX1 was introduced to the hydraulic oil tank, within +/- 15 minutes the throttle was backed off to 5/8ths retaining the same breaking action.”

Can I use Extralube ZX1 with a wet clutch system?

“Thank you for your enquiry, EXTRALUBE ZX1 is purely a metal treatment and will not affect the composite fibre of the clutch plate, go ahead and treat your motorbike.”

Can I use Extralube ZX1 in my Power Steering Fluid?

“If you put approximately 20 ml of ZX1 in your steering fluid it will help the power steering pump.”

Can I use Extralube ZX1 in with the Fuel?

“EXTRALUBE ZX1 can be added to the fuel to help the upper cylinder areas such as the valves, it will also help clean the injectors as it passes through the system.

Use 1 ml ZX1 per 1 litre of fuel as an initial treatment and then a half dose again after approximately 1000 miles, for subsequent treatments also use 0.5 ml per 1 litre of fuel, this can be done at any time you feel the engine would benefit another treatment.”
