Can I use Extralube ZX1 in my Power Tools and Hydraulic Systems?

To use ZX1 Micro Oil Metal Treatment in hydraulics we advise a 1% ratio of ZX1 to Hydraulic oil, if possible bypass the hydraulic oil tank and introduce the ZX1 directly into the working part of the system which will ensure that the ZX1 gets to the working parts quicker.

In the past we have witnessed a JCB with a concrete breaker attached which was running at 7/8ths throttle to acquire the ideal breaking action, 1% of EXTRALUBE ZX1 was introduced to the hydraulic oil tank, within +/- 15 minutes the throttle was backed off to 5/8ths retaining the same breaking action.

Can I use ZX1 as a machining fluid?

Yes, according to the severity of the operation, ZX1 Micro Oil Metal Treatment can be applied neat or in dilutions down to 10% in soluble cutting oils and water, and between 5% and 20% in emulsions, past and compounds for drawing and pressing metals.

ZX1 Micro Oil Metal Treatment can be thermally bonded onto tools and load bearing surfaces by heat pretreatment at temperatures in the regions of 60%.
